Tidy Brain is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information. You can use Tidy Brain without creating an account.

1. Information we collect

Account information (optional): if you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and display name through Firebase Authentication. Tidy Brain works fully without an account.
Chore & household data: the chores you create, rooms, completion history, streaks, repair-token balance, and household details (household name, invite code, and the display names of people you invite). This is stored locally on your device with Apple's SwiftData framework and is not uploaded to our servers.
Usage & diagnostics: to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes, we use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google). These send a limited set of anonymous event and diagnostic data — such as which screens are visited and chore-completion counts — tied to an app-generated identifier, not your name.
Purchases: subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat and Apple. We do not receive your payment card details.

We do not collect health data, location, contacts, photos, or any data beyond what is described here.

2. How we use your information

Provide and maintain the Tidy Brain service
Generate your daily task list, streaks, and insights
Enable household sharing with the people you invite
Authenticate your account and manage your subscription (if you have one)
Improve the app and fix crashes

We never use your data for advertising or marketing profiling, and we never sell it.

3. Data retention & deletion

Your chore data lives on your device. Deleting the app removes it. You can also clear all data anytime from Profile → Delete All Data. If you created an account, email us to delete it.

4. Children

Tidy Brain is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

5. Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
